Gone Fishin'

After a day of running around town (visited a great place to eat.. Peach Home cooking) then some perfunctory house cleaning, what could be better than spending the early evening fishing down at the pond?

This post reminds me that I had a dream last night that I was fishing... with a plastic bag, and not only did I catch several fish, but I caught a catfish, that pretty much looked like a small black panther when I finally got it out of the water, lol!

For a minute I thought Quasi was Red. I guess she taught him all about jumping in that pond. James is getting so big!

What a perfect day!!
Isn't it great when you can have that kind of time with your kid?

FYI - Congrats on the "perfunctory house cleaning" which, you know, is big points in my book!!! :):)

Ah yes...the perfunctory house cleaning always goes so much quicker when done together. Plus, it gave me plenty of time to work on dinner while you guys fished. Next time Patrick and I will have to go with. You guys can fish and I will lounge in the back of the mule with a book...summer is coming!

It's even spring up North here! Great photos. We took the boys and the dog to a lake as well. No fishing, just some skinned arms.

Idren Clay,

Those pictures show fatherly love in a profoundly simple way! You are spending time with your son. That will give him a strong foundation on which to build his own fathering skills.

I am happy to know that there are two women (your future daughters-in-law) who are going to be the fortunate beneficiaries of the legacy of that love. When a man is secure in the knowledge that his parents love him, he is better able to love others.

You are shaping Patrick and James with your love. Thank you for that.

Bless Up,
Lady Roots
