Today I learned of the passing of a friend of mine from highschool, Troy Barlow - pictured above with his band Damnage (he's in the center), I had not spoken to him in the last ten years.I did not know that he had died until today, although he passed away on May 27th, 2005. We had a lot of good times together and I will miss him terribly.

I'm sorry Big Daddy. Really sorry. Any time we were around Troy he was always the nicest guy.

It's shaping up to be a banner year, isn't it?

seriously though, I'm very sorry. I know how it is after finding out someone you were close to is dead long after the fact. At least you still have pristine memories of him that aren't mucked up by funerals or wakes. And, if there's anyone I'd want to be remembered by, it's you. You have the best filing system and you tell the best stories.

Sorry to hear about that, man. I had the same thing happen last year with an old friend from High School. Do you remember hearing on the news about the Cardinals relief pitcher Josh Hancock getting killed when he ran into the back of a tow truck?
Sucks sometimes because whenever it's someone remotely famous like that, no one believes you knew them.
